The food is excellent. It's family owned and operated. This family makes you feel like you're part of the family; it is a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Any item you order is full of flavor. We eat there a few times a week because we love the food and the family.

I have to give where my super picky son loved the food 5 stars. Nice staff and great bbq. What a combo. Cool decor as well. Glad we stopped here.

Pretty good, but not great. I'd give 3.5 stars if you could give 1/2 stars. The server was really sweet and offered us samples of ham, beef and pork to help us decide on what to order. I ordered the small plate of ribs (it was HUGE... the large plate must be insane! ) with fries and coleslaw and my boyfriend ordered the 2 item combo with beef and ham and the green salad and fries for sides. For portion size, this place gets 5 stars. We're both big eaters, but couldn't finish our meals. For taste, a 3. While the ribs were gigantic and very meaty, they were overcooked. Most of the rib was inedible because of it. The parts that weren't overcooked, were amazing. My boyfriend said his was "good" but not great. All of the sides were great, and their spicy bbq sauce was really good. I was SUPER disapointed that they were out of my bbq restaurant favorite...hot links! Boo!!! All in all, I'd probably go back and give it another shot, but...it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.

I've been to BBQ places all over the U.S.; some I wouldn't go back to. Big Stuff BBQ - I'd eat all the time. 5 stars is pretty generous, but you don't miss much when eating here! I had the beef and pork. Both were top notch. Very friendly and fun staff too.

My favorite items are the baby back ribs and smoked mac & cheese. The staff is also very friendly!

Though I enjoyed the crunchy slaw, the bland potato salad and the brisket left were disappointing. The meat was tender, but I didn't get much taste of anything unless I smothered it in sauce.

This place doesn't play fair. They send the wonderful smoky smell of barbecue across town and right into my window, triggering a terrible hunger. I don't like chicken, but I like their chicken. I'm Jewish, but I dig into Big Stuff's ham and ribs like a starving man. The coleslaw has a perfect tang, and the beans have just the right amount of spice. Their barbecue sauce is a Southern vinegar style, and adds just the perfect taste to meat. The atmosphere is an easygoing, no BS kind of place that a barbecue restaurant should be. Parking is on-street in beautiful downtown Cottage Grove. They are just a block from Axe & Fiddle, so it is a great place to eat before a show.

Super awesome BBQ food. A 10 out of 10 for sure. And super cheap. They have plates of killer barbecue dinners and sandwiches or whatever

My son told us about this place so we had to give it a try. We had the pulled pork sandwich mac & cheese, baked beans, potato salad and the cole slaw. The food was very good. We added vinager to our slaw because we like it with more tang. We will be back. Very nice people.

Don't come here moderately hungry or you will not do this fantastic bbq joint justice! Bring your biggest appetite you can conjure and enjoy the feast o' meat for cheap! Oh my! The meat! We got a rib plate and the pork sandwich. It's everything you could want in good ribs, tender, flavorful and tumbles right off the bone. Be sure to try their sweet sauce! The pork sandwich was equally wonderful and the choice of roll stood up to its might. I found the mac salad to be unique, yet the potato salad was a bit heavy on the vinegar. The beer selection will get you by-Oakshire and Widmer. Don't want to be separated from the awesomeness of your meal for too long? Don't waste any time looking for the bathroom, it's through the kitchen in the back. We had this for a late lunch. I didn't want to eat again until lunch the next day. Enjoy!

Barbecue 2 days in a row why I think so. Pretty darn good BBQ to choose from here. I'd like that the sauce is sweet and a little tangy. The decor inside of it here is kind of old western and that also is kind of need to look at while you eat. You can definitely tell they smoke their meat right here as it has a nice little smokey punch to it. I will have to come back and try the ribs next time.

Not overpowering very well cooked BBQ! Sauce is good, meat is perfect, and the sides taste great!

They should call their place Great Big Stuff. It is just wonderful. The people honestly love what they do. The food is simple, down home BBQ and so good. You won't be sorry at all.

Yum Yum Yum! Detoured off i-5 on the way to Eugene during a road trip. We actually planned to stop here based on all the good yelp reviews. Glad we stopped! Big Stuff is not only smokey, delicious BBQ but Cottage Grove is such a cute little town. I told my husband that I want to move there! :-) Since Big Stuff is located on Main Street there are tons of shops close by. Parking is minimal out front-we had a trailer with us so we couldn't fit right there on Main Street. We easily found parking around the corner though. As we walked from our car we could smell BBQ! They have a whole smoke station set up outside! The food was hearty and delicious. We both got baby back ribs with the sweet BBQ-nothing like that sweet goopy Masterpiece stuff. You could tell it was homemade. A little more runny than the store stuff, tangy, sweet and spicy! Fries were cooked fresh. They were hot a delicious. Colesalw was awesome, potato salad was good too. The portions are perfect neither of us were too full but we didn't leave hungry either! If you're driving through OR I would reccomend stopping here. The home cookin' and the friendly employees will refresh you for the long drive ahead! 2 meals and 2 drinks for $27.00 not bad. Oh, and I should metnion the place is HUGE. I was expecting a tiny hole in the wall place but it was very spacious. Great for a bigger group.

There was so much hype behind this place that I was ready for a dining treat. What I got was poor slow service, the man behind the counter was offended by the fact I wasn't familiar with their sauces. I'm sorry this is my first trip here. But I jump ahead when we got there to order there was a random person at the counter chatting with the employees? Owners? At first I thought it was a take out order but after 10 minutes I was getting frustrated. The menu is lacking to say the least. I wanted a Pepsi or a coke and the rootbeer was pushed on me so hard I almost caved to shut them up. But I'm not a fan of rootbeer at all. I was willing to put up with this service based on the tales of the food that was to come. Unfortunately my sandwich was stuffed with dry bland meat, rock hard bun and let downs as far as sauces go. The fried were like wood slivers. I can say my first trip will be my last. Hopefully this was a off day for this local business.

Wonderful People, Delicious BBQ I have eaten here quite a few times. Everything is good. Root Beer on tap is very tasty. All the meats are fresh and taste very good. Sauces are mild and hot - they are really plain. I think they need more choices. Great family runs the joint. Cool little place and you can get food for take out.

Yelp's 4* reviews were right on for me at this restaurant. Both the cashier and barbeque carver/server were friendly, efficient and helpful communicators of the fare at this barbeque. Lots of choices; ham, pulled pork, chicken, brisket, hot link sausages, and sides. First timers get to sample each of the meats, along with two types of sauce; one sweeter, and the other hotter and less sweet. We both had a plate of brisket, sausages, spicy barbeque sauce, cold slaw, corn muffin and baked beans. Everything was good. You won't go wrong here. Didn't get 5 stars because the cashier asked if I wanted cornbread. What I got was a sweet corn muffin, with almost cake like consistency. I was expecting a more granular texture as in a good piece of southern cornbreak baked in a hot cast iron skilet, and without all the sugar. It's probably a personal preference about cornbread, and I should have asked to sample it. I'm sure they would have gladly offered me a sample. These are great folks with good food.

Was here for the Oregon Covered Bridge Festival as a vendor. Had a Entertainment coupon for a buy 1 get 1 free sandwich. However it said Dine in only (Why?!?). They wouldn't let me use it for our to go order. However the food itself was very good, my sister and I both got the spicy chicken sandwich. I didn't think it was all that spicy. Even with their spicy sauce added to it. I didn't care for their cole-slaw, it needed to be chopped finer and was not a fan of the sauce they used. However my sister loved it. She also really liked the potato salad and I enjoyed the baked beans. Would go back again

Best BBQ West of down south! Saturday is the Rib Sampler special. Smoky, tender goodness! Cornbread muffins were the bomb too! Moist but not too sweet. Mac salad a bit plain and baked beans a bit sweet, but oh well...The spicy chicken is good too, makes a great sandwich. Quality wood smoked BBQ! You can smell it blocks away... Friendly staff, comfortable seating, good brews.

Amazing! Everything was so delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce, and macaroni salad and gumbo. The gumbo was amazing and the the pulled pork was delicious. I even bought a pint of the bbq sauce to take back to California.

Holy moly, this place has the best barbeque in the Willamette valley! The spicy chicken was totally outrageous. I loved the cornbread muffin, and the green salad was made with real (i.e. not iceberg) lettuce. The baked beans were yummy as well. The service was fantastic - really nice, down-to-earth guys who greet you when you walk in, let you sample (!!!) the things you are interested in trying, and check in on you regularly while you chow down (and not in an annoying, in-your-face sort of way). We'll definitely be back for more!

We had the chance to visit this place a week ago. It is good food. Nothing stood out as being "outstanding", but again, nothing stood out negatively either. The wait was not long , the atmosphere was good for families, you didn't have to worry about the kids talking to loud and the kids enjoyed the food. We had the ribs, beans coleslaw , mac-n-cheese, fries, hot dog bites and chicken strips between us. No complaints and I would come back again. The reviews really stood out and I was hoping the ribs would be out of this world. They were good, but the ones that really stand out in my mind are from Dreamland in Birmingham. These just aren't there yet.

I love, Love, LOve, LOVe, LOVE this place! I'm only in the area like every other months, but when I am, a trip to Big stuff is in order. Everything on the menu is fantastic. The chicken is fall off the bone tender. The ribs are little sticks of heavenly beefy goodness. The beef sandwich is up there as one of the best I've ever had. The potato salad is pretty good and the baked beans are sweet and tangy. Even the chili is delectable. Only tried a bite, but it was meaty and spicy and pretty darn fantastic. Oh, and the corn muffins! Let me tell you about the corn muffins! They are the best I've ever had. A little sweet with pieces of corn throughout. They remind me so much of the ones that I got at a now defunct restaurant named after a certain country music singer. Only softer and better. We always get a couple extra for the road. The people who work here have always been very friendly. And you really can't beat the price. Around $10 a person will feed you very nicely. So even though its a drive from Eugene (and even further from the Portland metro in which I reside), its worth the trip. I will make the trip as often as possible, and eat as much as possible every time.

Rode my cycle down from Eugene because I heard this place had delicious bbq. And they certainly did! I had the beef rib dinner, and my girlfriend had the spicy chicken dinner. Both were superb. The staff was extremely nice, made sure we were satisfied and having a good time, and even made sure we had enough to eat. Way to make my day, Big Stuff BBQ.

Just driving through and decided to Yelp for a good place to eat. Once again Yelp didn't let me down. Great Barbecue sandwiches and sides.

Probably the best thing about this place is the fact that they let you taste before you order so that you know what you will be getting! What will hit you first is the GLORIOUS smell as you park then the smiles and hellos from the staff. They have a great menu that allows you to "create" your own meal from several options and the portions are really great! Take out service is great and inside dining is open and there is a Cowboy kind of motif. I recommend this great BBQ to anyone and everyone!

I came here from Eugene because my friends recommended it. We usually have barbecue at hole in the wall barbecue in Springfield. The entire time I was driving from Eugene to cottage Grove I was wondering, "why am I driving this far for barbecue"? Perhaps I was expecting too much. The atmosphere is not warm. You order at the cashier and then wait for your food. Felt like a cafeteria rather than a nice restaurant. Baby back ribs were fair. French fries greasy. I'm staying with hole in the wall BBQ in Springfield.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bbq!!! They do a wonderful job the ham here oh man it just makes me want to marry the man who makes it. The beef an pork are all fantastic. My husband goes nuts over their hot links. I can't eat them since my stomach is sensitive to a spice they put in them (I had my gall bladder removed and can't eat certain foods). They are a wonderful place to eat and I highly recommend them.

Delicious homemade bbq. Everything is good-pulled pork, ham, brisket, ribs, chicken, you name. Even the homemade sides are wonderful. The corn muffins are fresh and full of whole corn pieces, and the beans and slaw are outstanding. The brothers who own this place are friendly and welcoming. I will be here every time I come through cottage grove.

Darn good bbq. Currently, my favorite place to eat a meal in the Grove. The plates remind me of cafeteria trays with loads of good stuff on it. The baby back ribs were delicious and I tried them with both the sweet and spicy sauces. I had the beans and potato salad as sides. Both were good, but I enjoyed the beans more as they had more flavor. They are serving Crater Lake Root Beer which is legions above the other big name brand offered.

Have you passed the cottage grove exit? Turn around. Are you coming up to Cottage Grove exit? Smack the kids awake 'cause daddy's stopping for BBQ. I had the pork plate...awesome. Two sides cole slaw and beans. Just awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

Big Stuff makes some amazing food. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! If only I didn't live so far away now... I discovered Big Stuff on a whim, after cycling near Cottage Grove we headed into town for dinner. We planned on eating at a nearby establishment, but when I got out of the car I smelled delicious, smoky BBQ and followed my nose straight to Big Stuff. The pulled pork is amazing, sooo smoky (not in a fake liquid smoke kind of way, they smoke their meats overnight). They'll mix the sauce in for you, or you can add it yourself. The sides are good, I've tried the green salad (a nice healthy addition to a heavier meal), beans, and cornbread (of course). Staff is super friendly. Big Stuff is the best!

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised. Good bbq, HUGE portions, fresh cornbread muffins, and plenty of room in a cute, old-timey sort of town.

Had a great meal today, after walking by on a whim looking for somewhere to have lunch after biking nearby. Our food was delicious, beef brisket sandwich for me, and baby back ribs for my date. The cole slaw and baked beans were great sides and the root beer delish. An excellent choice in Cottage Grove!

I travel For business and therefore eat all over North America, and am pleased to say this is some of the best Q I've had anywhere... including Texas, Kansas City, Tennessee, Georgia, anywhere! Like all great eating destinations, friendly service and pride in their culinary craft are a core value of Big Stuff. The fries and the gumbo rock! And try a pint of the Crater Lake root beer too.

Beef plate $ 10 with two sides - potato salad and bar-b-q beans. Brisket was chopped! I saw it done before my very eyes. The cook sliced a one and a half inch slab of well-marbled brisket and chopped it to pieces. A good serving though I'm used to several thin slices. This ain't the way we serve it in Texas. Small rib plate $ 9.50 - three beef ribs (small though), green salad and bar-b-q beans. Sides are tasty although nothing exceptional. Excellent draft beers - Widmer $ 3.75 / pint. Large selection of other meats - pork, ham, pork spare ribs (baby back and regular) and sausage. Sandwiches, seniors' and kids menus. Don't see what the fuss is about.

Wow, another great Yelp find! Excellent place to stop while treking on I5 in Oregon. Excellent and simple BBQ sammies, with generous portions. I couldn't decide on the chopped pork or beef sandwich, so they mixed it together and it was perfect! Great fries, too. Big clean place and very friendly staff (owners?). Easy access from I5 either direction, in a very cool, resurging old fashioned small town main street.

Tasty food, but it was luke warm and service was ok at best. It was later on a Tuesday and servers seemed to be goofying around and loud and a bit unattentive/distracted. BBQ was good, although the rib portions were disappointing for the price and average across others I've had. BBQ pork plate dinner was tasty as well, but both of us got a real sick feeling and were just laying in bed about an hour later......... guessing it was sitting out or at too low of a temperture and not re-heated correctly...... maybe would not have gotten stomach issues during busy times.

Everything was Awesome! Everything is slow smoked and fall off the bone tender and moist. I had the two meat plate with dry rub chicken and baby back ribs. The "spicy" sauce was great, but it's not too spicy. This is must stop if you a BBQ lover. My wife and son had the ham, and my daughter had the kids pulled pork sandwich. Everyone left super happy and super full. The prices were great ad well.

Well, I made it back today when I was down in CG on business. I'm glad I tried it again. Maybe they did just have an off day the first time I went. The pork sandwich was *much* better today; juicy, smoky, and flavorful. Cooked just right - still just a tad of pink visible. The "spicy" BBQ sauce is a little tomato-centric and not particularly spicy. Fresh hot fries and salad (spring greens mix) still good. Actually, their fries are pretty freaking awesome now that I think about it. Saw them cutting up some chickens in the back room from Foster Farms - better quality ingredient than the average Sysco chopped chicken. Also, you might want to take a look over the counter at the meats before you order. They have them out under warming lamps so you can see exactly what you're getting. I looked too late but saw what looked like an excellent ham...next time. It's not superb BBQ (hence the 3-star rating) but after today I would say it's the best I've found in the area. The Eugene/Springfield options just flat out suck, like 1-star suck. I've heard some good things about Wagon Wheel out on 126, and want to give that a try too. I'll come back to Big Stuff if I'm around Cottage Grove at lunch/dinner time. $8 for a big platter with sides is a fair deal.

Cheap eats made with family love. The interior isn't fancy and food is served on cafeteria-style plates but the food is delish, the staff is super friendly and it was exactly the lunch we were looking for while cruising on I-5

Driving by Cottage Grove and need something to eat? Get off the freeway and skip McD's and the King and head over to Big Stuff for some great BBQ. Friendly staff too!

My wife and I stopped there for lunch on our way from Medford to Corvallis. The proprietors couldn't have been friendlier. The draft root beer is excellent. A must try. As is their bar BQ ribs, pulled pork and baked beans. If you're ever in this neck of the woods and in the mood for Bar BQ you should stop and give this place a try.

The BEST in the WEST BBQ I've ever tasted...the meat just melts in your mouth ...it's heavenly...and the side dishes are WONDERFUL...coleslaw, beans, macaroni salad...and the on tap ROOT BEER is better then A&W, and Dad's root beers...If your in Oregon stop here for the BEST BBQ...brisket, chicken, ribs...and the prices are very reasonable...great place to take the entire family...the staff was very friendly...5 STARS for Big Stuff BBQ!!!

Being a skeptic at heart, I was suspicious of the reviews for Big Stuff. I mean, when four local reviewers all give a place five-star reviews, I have to wonder if the owner and three of his/her best friends wrote the reviews. I can't say that isn't the case here, but it doesn't matter. All of the reviewers were absolutely right--Big Stuff serves up some fantastic Q! Both my lunch partner and I ordered the pork dinner plate and the meat was tender, moist and very tasty. I happen to prefer my Q with some sauce (everything about BBQ is a matter of personal taste) and the staff was happy to meet my needs. The servings were hefty and the price was very reasonable. The sides were also tasty. My favorites quickly became the fries (extra crispy without the phony flavoring so many places deem necessary these days) and the coleslaw with a tangy/slightly sweet sauce unlike anything I've ever tasted. The beans were also top notch, with a subtle, smoky BBQ flavor that was just about perfection. The potato salad, however, seemed to be a little heavy on the dill flavor--again, a matter of taste. The staff, too, fit the descriptions provided by previous reviewers. They were helpful and welcoming, which brings me to one of the two reasons I didn't give Big Stuff a five-star rating. I felt the woman behind the cash register was a little too friendly. Her chit-chat with customers slowed the serving line down quite a bit . . . and I was hungry! The second reason I lowered my rating to four stars was the chunk of gristle I found in my pork. Neither of these negative points are a big deal, but they prove there's almost always room for improvement. If you're in the Cottage Grove area and you want to get your Q on, head for Big Stuff. You won't be disappointed. (And that comes from a reviewer who lives nearly 500 miles away and has never even met the owners!)

On vacation driving down the road when I got hungry. Fired up yelp on the old IPhone when I came up with this jewel. I had the pork sandwhich and I can say it was the most suculent I have had in a long time. It had a real good tangy sauce. You get a choice of two sides and I had baked beans and slaw. Both were excellent.

Stopped by for lunch. I must say, if you are looking for authentic BBQ...lots of smokey flavor. Then this is the place for you. Bot the beef brisket and the baby back ribs were excellent. The sweet sauce has a hint of five spice in it and the spicy sauce has a nice level of heat but is not so hot that anyone should worry about it. The portions are quite large (enough that there were leftovers for dinner). As for sides: The coleslaw is some of the best I have had in a long time. Slightly sweet and creamy. I would get this again without hesitation. The baked beans were very good. Rich and thick sauce. The potato salad was average. Better than what you would get out of a grocery store deli but nothing to really rave about. The fries were hot and tasty but they had a consistency that betrayed the fact that there were frozen as opposed to fresh cut. Better than a fast food joint. The cornbread muffin was good. Not too dry and we were offered both honey and butter for it. The Crater Lake Root Beer is worth every penny. So much better than the other soda selections to be had. The decor of the restaurant is south west with many photos of First Nations People. Tastefully done without being offensive. Overall I enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone!

I grew up eating good Texas barbecue and this is pretty dang close. My family has a love hate relationship with Big Stuff, the smell wafting down main st. is pure torture if we are in a rush and can't stop in. The barbecue plates are piled high with you choice of 1/2 or 1/4 chicken, or ribs, or pork, with great potato salad, beans and a corn muffin. You will need a good walk around the block after filling yer belly up with this damn good food! ITs the only place my husband wants to eat in our little town!

Bearded M.
I heard a lot about how good this place was for barbecue. I went there with people who had eaten there before and had good things to say about it. I ordered the Pork Dinner plate and was underwhelmed. The pork was dry and I had to drown it in sauce to eat it. My expectation of good barbecue pork is a moist meat that can stand on it's own. The sauces (I tried both) were very good. I had a side of french fries and they were great. I really like the "real" fries made fresh. I also had a side of macaroni salad and it was average, about what you might expect at a buffet line. The Crater Lake Root Beer they serve was real nice also. I can only give this restaurant a 2 star rating since I expect my main dish to satisfy me. The french fries and root beer were the only saving grace. I will try this place again to see if my meal was a fluke since I have heard so much good about it. Hopefully it will be moist and meaty when I return.

This place has great ribs! Never had anything else. The sides are good and the sauces are great. They have decent icy-cold adult beverages on tap to boot. Just bring your appetite and order the large rib plate. I make the trip down from Eugene about once a month. Mmm-mm good!

We sampled the pulled pork and brisket with both sweet and spicy BBQ sauces. Sides included beans, cole slaw and corn bread. Everything was superb. Service is quick and cheerful; the environment is spare but clean and functional. The Big Stuff pit-master clearly knows his way around a smoker! Definitely recommend stopping here if you're passing through Cottage Grove.

The high ratio of favorable to unfavorable reviews led us to try Big Stuff when we were in Cottage City. The four and fire stars have it right. I can't say Big Stuff is the best barbecue I have ever had, but it's right up there. The beef was moist and flavorful and the beans were great. I was told that the chicken was okay, but I'm not a good judge of chicken since I dislike most of it no matter how it is prepared. My advice would be to stick with the spicy sauce. I tried the sweet sauce, and was not impressed. My wife, however, liked it. (There's no accounting for taste.) A cold draft ale was a perfect accompanying beverage. It's an okay place for kids too. They have a children't menu to satisfy most kids. If you happen to be passing Cottage City on the 5 at lunch or dinner time, give serious thought to jumping off the freeway to visit Big Stuff. If you live in the valley Big Stuff is easily worth a 30-40 minute drive.

I read the reviews and took my wife, son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandkids for dinner. The bill was $73 and we waddled out of there as very contented campers. That included 7 dinners, 2 large beers and assorted drinks. They did run out of spare ribs and baby back ribs and our granddaughter ended up with beef ribs. I ate them (definitey not punishment) and let her have most of my spare ribs. The cole slaw was quite tasty. This is an order at the counter place and the person taking the orders appeared to be new. We had to ask what kind of ribs were available, what the chicken quarters consisted of and was the beef a brisket. She didn't know all the answers, but that was just a blip on the radar screen. Go if you. get the chance. We will whenever we're in the area.

The people are nice and helpful but the menu is lacking. Great if all you want is handful of greasey meat, but I would really love a salad with it.

Tasty BBQ and friendly service. I had the pork sandwich and my wife had the spicy chicken; both were quite good. The baked beans are thick & sweet, and the coleslaw is fresh. A few minutes from the freeway, but still a great lunch stop on our road trip.

Out of this world BBQ. Very friendly and you will see one of the owners every time you go. Great for big groups if wanted and they do catering (first tasted it at a pre-wedding party) along with take outs (which we do a lot when we want to eat at home). They smoke all the meat overnight in a giant smoker outside. This is probably the best BBQ I have ever had. Needless to say we've been a lot.

So so good! I am a southern girl and know my BBQ. This family run establishment was amazing. I was with a commercial film crew passing through town and about 20 of us walked in all at once and they had us all stuffing our faces within 15 minutes, they never missed a beat and even carried on conversations with smiles on their faces all while rushing to get us fed. I would highly recommend the pulled pork and baby back ribs, oh and the mac n cheese is to die for! And don't forget to ask for the spicy BBQ sauce!

(5)Ashley Z.
(4)Paul L.
(5)Tiffani W.
My favorite items are the baby back ribs and smoked mac & cheese. The staff is also very friendly!
(5)Wella A.
Though I enjoyed the crunchy slaw, the bland potato salad and the brisket left were disappointing. The meat was tender, but I didn't get much taste of anything unless I smothered it in sauce.
(2)Ted E.
(5)Darren E.
Super awesome BBQ food. A 10 out of 10 for sure. And super cheap. They have plates of killer barbecue dinners and sandwiches or whatever
(5)Sharon N.
My son told us about this place so we had to give it a try. We had the pulled pork sandwich mac & cheese, baked beans, potato salad and the cole slaw. The food was very good. We added vinager to our slaw because we like it with more tang. We will be back. Very nice people.
(5)Jessica K.
Enjoy!
(4)Jackson L.
(3)Anthony H.
Not overpowering very well cooked BBQ! Sauce is good, meat is perfect, and the sides taste great!
(5)Melissa C.
They should call their place Great Big Stuff. It is just wonderful. The people honestly love what they do. The food is simple, down home BBQ and so good. You won't be sorry at all.
(5)Biddy F.
(5)Holly H.
Hopefully this was a off day for this local business.

great bbq, i visit about every other time i am in cottage grove. large potrions, great sauces, quality cuts of meat. i am not a huge bbq fan but this is some of the best i have had.
(4)Dr Tim L L.
(4)Chuck E.
(4)Eric E.
(4)Stella P.
(5)Celestia L.
Amazing! Everything was so delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce, and macaroni salad and gumbo. The gumbo was amazing and the the pulled pork was delicious. I even bought a pint of the bbq sauce to take back to California.
(5)Caroline R.
(5)Ed M.
(3)Brynn M.
(5)Eric L.
(5)Bretta G.
Just driving through and decided to Yelp for a good place to eat. Once again Yelp didn't let me down. Great Barbecue sandwiches and sides.
(5)Diana G.
(4)Steven O.
(2)Amber Hobbit S.
(5)Adam M.
(5)D R.
Good Bar B Que ! Friendly servers. Will stop again, when I'm in Cottage Grove. Thanks Mayor Gary for the recommendation.
(4)Pani L.
(4)Arial B.
(5)Julie G.
(5)Kelly M.
We stopped here for lunch on a road trip and were pleasantly surprised. Good bbq, HUGE portions, fresh cornbread muffins, and plenty of room in a cute, old-timey sort of town.
(4)Nancy B.

Lissen here y'all...... Getcher butt inside and have some of the rootenest tootenest bar b que this side of the Rio Grande! Yeeeehaawwww. Whoa, sorry about that. . . I digress. . . Super good BBQ done the right way. Low, smoky, indirect heat.... Dayummmm! This place us a hit, no joke. Everybody likes this place. Everybody. It's a must whenever my family comes to town, and we're all country folk, so you know it's legit. Get on down, y'all. Come getyer fill!
(4)Paul S.
(5)Medicine B.
Wonderful BBQ at a fair price.
(4)Paul D.
(3)Mark M.
(5)Nick M.
(3)Josh B.
(4)Killer S.
(3)Lois M.
Cheap eats made with family love. The interior isn't fancy and food is served on cafeteria-style plates but the food is delish, the staff is super friendly and it was exactly the lunch we were looking for while cruising on I-5
(5)Saul E.
Driving by Cottage Grove and need something to eat? Get off the freeway and skip McD's and the King and head over to Big Stuff for some great BBQ. Friendly staff too!
(4)Stuart S.
(4)Janice P.
(5)Steve E.
(4)Reiny G.
(5)Big Eared M.
(4)Holly C.
(5)Bearded M.
(2)D D.
This place has great ribs! Never had anything else. The sides are good and the sauces are great. They have decent icy-cold adult beverages on tap to boot. Just bring your appetite and order the large rib plate. I make the trip down from Eugene about once a month. Mmm-mm good!
(4)Big B.
(4)Carl P.
Really, really good Bar-b-q! Consistent quality. Fair price. Kind of a strange space, but good food.
(5)Dan L.
(4)Bruce J.
(5)Todd M.
The people are nice and helpful but the menu is lacking. Great if all you want is handful of greasey meat, but I would really love a salad with it.
(2)Dirk B.
Tasty BBQ and friendly service. I had the pork sandwich and my wife had the spicy chicken; both were quite good. The baked beans are thick & sweet, and the coleslaw is fresh. A few minutes from the freeway, but still a great lunch stop on our road trip.
(4)Jessica C.
I have gone to Big Stuff for the several years they have been in Cottage Grove and have never been disappointed. Their staff is friendly, andI have loved every meal I have gotten!
(5)Robin J.
(5)Sarah K.
